# Sell crypto

**Step 1: Create or connect your wallet**\
Connect an existing wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom, or create a Unigox non-custodial wallet with email or phone number.

**Step 2: Verify your identity (KYC)**\
If you're selling more than $100 in crypto, a quick KYC verification is required. Upload your ID or passport and take a live selfie — it takes under a minute.

**Step 3: Add your payment details**\
Add your bank account or mobile wallet where you want to receive fiat.

**Step 4: Select your trade**\
Choose how much crypto you want to sell, pick a fiat currency, and select a payment method (bank transfer, mobile wallet, etc.).

**Step 5: Send crypto to escrow**\
Unigox supports 10+ EVM chains and Solana. Your crypto is deposited into the on-chain escrow contract on the Unigox appchain.

**Step 6: Receive fiat**\
A verified vendor sends fiat to your account. The system confirms the transfer automatically.

**Step 7: Crypto is auto-released**\
Once payment is confirmed, your crypto is released from escrow to the buyer. No manual release required.

#### Why It's Safe

* On-chain escrow — transparent and verifiable
* Verified liquidity providers - licensed business and professional vendors only
* No chat between buyer and seller
* No risk of funds being frozen on a centralized platform

#### Understanding Your Payment Name

When you add payment details, here's how your name works:

**No KYC (under $100 all time volume)** Your payment name is entered freely and shared with buyers as-is. Quick and simple for small trades.

**KYC Verified** Your legal name from ID verification auto-populates. Buyers see this verified name, building instant trust.

**KYC Verified + Different Payment Name** Need your bank account name to differ from your passport? No problem. You can enter a different payment name, but buyers will see both:

* **Payment name** — where they send funds
* **Verified KYC name** — confirms your identity

This keeps transactions secure while giving you flexibility.
