Every trade on Unigox is protected by on-chain escrow: crypto is locked in a smart contract and only released once the fiat payment is confirmed. Here is how that confirmation happens.
Most orders are matched with integrated liquidity providers — licensed exchanges and payment companies connected directly to Unigox. When you send your fiat payment to the provided details, the provider detects the incoming transfer and confirms it automatically. Crypto is released to your wallet within minutes, with no screenshots and no manual review.
For peer-to-peer trades with independent vendors, you upload proof of payment (a screenshot or PDF of your transfer confirmation). The counterparty confirms receipt, and escrow releases the crypto. If the counterparty doesn't respond, Unigox's review team steps in and resolves the trade based on the evidence.
Each trade shows a payment window — the time you have to complete your fiat transfer. If the window expires before you've paid, the trade is cancelled automatically and the escrowed crypto returns to the seller. If you've already paid, mark the trade as paid and the trade stays open for review.
Always send the exact amount shown, from an account in your own name.
Use the payment reference if one is provided — it speeds up automatic matching of your transfer.
Never mention crypto in your bank transfer notes.
If anything goes wrong, contact support from the trade screen — funds stay safely in escrow while the trade is reviewed.
