# Introduction

Welcome to **Unigox** — the exchange that moves money in any form.

***

### **Introduction**

Unigox is a liquidity orchestration platform. It aggregates rates from P2P merchants, licensed exchanges, and payment providers into a single interface, automatically matching every order with the best available rate.

**For individuals**, Unigox handles buying and selling crypto through a non-custodial wallet with on-chain escrow — no manual browsing, no screenshots, no waiting.

**For businesses**, Unigox provides a corridor network spanning 40+ currencies across Africa, Europe, MENA, the Americas, and Asia. Collect and disburse through bank transfers, mobile money, or stablecoins via API, SDKs, or an embeddable widget. Virtual and named fiat accounts (EUR IBAN, GBP, USD) are coming soon.

**For vendors**, Unigox routes orders to you automatically. Set your rates, go online, and earn.

***

### **What makes Unigox different**

* **Best rate, automatically.** Every order is matched across multiple liquidity sources — P2P vendors, licensed exchanges, and directly integrated payment providers.
* **Non-custodial.** Your funds stay in your wallet until the moment of trade. No centralized custody, no frozen accounts.
* **On-chain escrow.** Crypto is held transparently on-chain until payment is confirmed.
* **40+ currencies.** Bank transfers, mobile money, and stablecoins across five continents.
* **Gasless transfers.** Send USDT or USDC between Unigox users and across 10+ blockchains with zero gas fees.
* **Business-ready.** REST API, SDKs (JavaScript, Python, C#), and a drop-in widget for instant integration — with named fiat accounts (EUR, GBP, USD) coming soon.

# Buy crypto

Buy cryptocurrencies directly on Unigox and receive it in your non-custodial wallet.

### How It Works

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEzkeNJHVFc>" %}

**Step 1: Create or connect your wallet**\
Download the Unigox wallet from [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unigox.mobile) or the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/unigox-buy-sell-crypto/id6751974973). You can also use Unigox directly at [unigox.com](https://unigox.com/) without installing anything.

Alternatively, connect an existing wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom.

**Step 2: Verify your identity (KYC)**\
If you're purchasing more than $100 in crypto, a quick KYC verification is required. Upload your ID or passport and take a live selfie — it takes under a minute.

**Step 3: Select your trade**\
Choose the cryptocurrency, amount, fiat currency, and payment method. Unigox auto-matches your order with the best available rate across all liquidity sources — P2P vendors, licensed exchanges, and integrated payment providers. No browsing through offers.

**Step 4: Review the match**\
You'll see the matched seller's payment details. Review the rate and amount.

**Step 5: Send fiat payment**\
Transfer fiat to the seller's bank account or mobile wallet using the provided details. Complete the payment within the payment window shown on the trade screen — if the window expires before you pay, the trade is cancelled automatically and the crypto returns to the seller.

**Step 6: Payment confirmation**\
Your fiat transfer is confirmed in one of two ways:

* **Automatic confirmation** (most trades): when your order is matched with an integrated liquidity provider, Unigox detects your incoming fiat payment and confirms it automatically — no screenshots, no waiting for a human.
* **Manual confirmation**: upload a screenshot or PDF of your payment confirmation. The seller confirms receipt.

**Step 7: Receive crypto**\
Once payment is confirmed, crypto is released from on-chain escrow directly to your wallet.

**Reading Seller Payment Details**

When viewing seller payment info, look for these indicators:

| Indicator | Meaning |
| --------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| **No badge** | Name entered freely, not ID-verified |
| **✓ Green checkmark** | Verified legal name from KYC |
| **Two names shown** | Verified user with different payment name |

Send funds to the **payment name**. Use the **KYC name** for identity verification.

# Sell crypto

Selling cryptocurrency for fiat on Unigox is fast, automated, and secure.

**Step 1: Create or connect your wallet**\
Create a Unigox non-custodial wallet with your email, Google, or Apple account — or connect an existing wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom.

**Step 2: Verify your identity (KYC)**\
If you're selling more than $100 in crypto, a quick KYC verification is required. Upload your ID or passport and take a live selfie — it takes under a minute.

**Step 3: Add your payment details**\
Add your bank account or mobile wallet where you want to receive fiat.

**Step 4: Select your trade**\
Choose how much crypto you want to sell, pick a fiat currency, and select a payment method (bank transfer, mobile wallet, etc.).

**Step 5: Send crypto to escrow**\
Unigox supports 10+ EVM chains and Solana. Your crypto is deposited into the on-chain escrow contract on the Unigox appchain.

**Step 6: Receive fiat**\
A verified vendor sends fiat to your account. The system confirms the transfer automatically.

**Step 7: Crypto is auto-released**\
Once payment is confirmed, your crypto is released from escrow to the buyer. No manual release required.

**Why It's Safe**

* On-chain escrow — transparent and verifiable
* Verified liquidity providers — licensed businesses and professional vendors only
* No chat between buyer and seller
* No risk of funds being frozen on a centralized platform

**Understanding Your Payment Name**

When you add payment details, here's how your name works:

**No KYC (under $100 all time volume)** Your payment name is entered freely and shared with buyers as-is. Quick and simple for small trades.

**KYC Verified** Your legal name from ID verification auto-populates. Buyers see this verified name, building instant trust.

**KYC Verified + Different Payment Name** Need your bank account name to differ from your passport? No problem. You can enter a different payment name, but buyers will see both:

* **Payment name** — where they send funds
* **Verified KYC name** — confirms your identity

This keeps transactions secure while giving you flexibility.

# Payment verification

Receive crypto instantly by verifying your fiat payment simply logging in to your bank account or wallet.

Every trade on Unigox is protected by on-chain escrow: crypto is locked in a smart contract and only released once the fiat payment is confirmed. Here is how that confirmation happens.

### Automatic confirmation

Most orders are matched with integrated liquidity providers — licensed exchanges and payment companies connected directly to Unigox. When you send your fiat payment to the provided details, the provider detects the incoming transfer and confirms it automatically. Crypto is released to your wallet within minutes, with no screenshots and no manual review.

### Manual confirmation

For peer-to-peer trades with independent vendors, you upload proof of payment (a screenshot or PDF of your transfer confirmation). The counterparty confirms receipt, and escrow releases the crypto. If the counterparty doesn't respond, Unigox's review team steps in and resolves the trade based on the evidence.

### Payment windows

Each trade shows a payment window — the time you have to complete your fiat transfer. If the window expires before you've paid, the trade is cancelled automatically and the escrowed crypto returns to the seller. If you've already paid, mark the trade as paid and the trade stays open for review.

### A few tips

* Always send the exact amount shown, from an account in your own name.
* Use the payment reference if one is provided — it speeds up automatic matching of your transfer.
* Never mention crypto in your bank transfer notes.
* If anything goes wrong, contact support from the trade screen — funds stay safely in escrow while the trade is reviewed.

# Trade as vendor

Vendors are professional traders who set their own rates and earn from each trade.

## How to Start

<figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2FgjEEgQ3dNPzDsZcBpUGX%2F2025-06-09%2C%2009_36_14%20p.m.-Unigox_Demo%20(1).gif?alt=media&amp;token=67e00c07-705a-48c8-9afb-0e7aa101c4fa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. **Create an account** by signing in on the platform.
2. **Apply to become a vendor** by filling out the [application form](https://forms.gle/6CkHvBzE6A6Dju7H7).
3. **Complete KYC or KYB.** For company verification, contact us via support.
4. **Create offers.** Set your payment methods, rates, fiat currencies, and trade limits.
5. **Receive trades.** Users are automatically matched to your listings.
6. **Send fiat.** Send fiat to the user's bank account. Once the system confirms payment, crypto is released from escrow to you.

<figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2FvPh3GKebGGSzh0BcB09Y%2F2025-06-10%2C%2008_58_15%20p.m.-Unigox_Demo%20(1).gif?alt=media&amp;token=2fb0b57d-6f2b-41a0-9878-b6b981a4f222" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Benefits for Vendors

* Automated trades — no chat with the counterparty
* Compliance-screened cryptocurrency
* On-chain escrow for full transparency
* Set your own rates and trade limits
* Network-based matching means one payment method covers an entire network (e.g., one SEPA account covers all European banks)

# Trade request acceptance mechanics

Unigox is using a cascading multi-vendor auction model to match buyers and sellers instead of a typical marketplace listing model.

When a user wants to sell 50 USDT, they send a trade request. Unigox sorts by the best price for the user and sends a trade request to vendor A, who has the best price for the user. This trade request is exclusive to vendor A for 45 seconds.

If vendor #1 does not accept the trade request, the same trade request is sent to vendor B, who has the next best price for the user.

Now, both vendor #1 and vendor B can accept this trade request.

If vendor B did not accept trade request within 45 seconds, if there is another vendor C that matches user criteria, trade request is sent to vendor C, and now all 3 vendors can accept trade request. See visualization.

| Timeline (mm:ss) | Unigox system | Vendor action |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------- |
| 00:00 | Trade request sent to Vendor A (45-second timer) | Vendor A ignores |
| 00:45 | Trade request sent to Vendor B (Vendor A can still accept trade request) | Vendor B ignores |

## Penalty for not accepting trade request

In case you are Vendor A, and if Vendor B or any subsequent vendor accepts trade request, you get 1 penalty point.

3 penalty points total turns your offers inactive until you turn them on again.

This keeps only active vendors on marketplace who are present and ready to process trade requests.

In case you are Vendor C who received trade request and Vendor B or Vendor A accepted trade request, you do not receive a penalty point.

# Trade with me & share your offer

The "Trade with Me" feature allows Unigox vendors to create personalized trading links that direct customers to trade specifically with them.

<figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2FfbyzUPSWg54mEUa2CU1n%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=95e35bed-9d35-4279-9f4d-6d2ee8d43c0d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## How It Works

1. Navigate to Vendor Dashboard
   * Go to your vendor page
   * Click on the "Offers" tab
2. Select an Offer to Share
   * Find the offer you want to share
   * Click the "Share" button next to the offer
3. Configure Share Settings
   * Default Amount: Pre-fill a crypto amount for customers
4. Copy Your Link

* The system automatically generates your personalized link:

| Parameter | Required | Description | Example |
| --------- | -------- | --------------------------------------- | ---------------------------- |
| username | ✅ Yes | Your Unigox username (part of URL path) | john\_trader |
| fiat | ✅ Yes | Fiat currency code | EUR, USD, GBP, GHS, NGN, KES |
| crypto | ❌ No | Cryptocurrency code | USDT, USDC |

## What customer sees and how the system prioritizes your offers

<figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2FaVnwrLcnoL5Kgz0pOIuF%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f9715da1-d7ba-44eb-960a-8be4a6d3bfa5" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Customer sees you as priority trading partner</p></figcaption></figure>

1. Customer clicks your trade-with-me link
2. Lands on Unigox widget pre-configured for trading with you and sees you as priority trading partner
3. System searches for your best-matching offer first
4. Customer starts trade with you and you receive new trade request notification

If you ignore trade request, customer falls back to [regular matching t](/how-it-works/how-offer-matching-works)[o find next best available offer](/how-it-works/how-offer-matching-works).

### Requirements for Successful Matching with your offers

For your offers to be matched via trade-with-me links

* You must be online and active
* Have active offers for the requested currency pair
* Offer must support the customer's payment method
* Trade amount must be within the offer limits

## Common Issues

Q: Customer clicks my link but doesn't get matched with me

* Ensure you're online and active
* Check if you have active offers for the requested currency pair
* Verify your offer limits accommodate the requested amount
* Confirm payment method compatibility

Q: Link shows "no offers available"

* Your offers may be inactive or deleted
* Check if you're temporarily offline
* Verify the currency pair is correct in the URL
* Ensure your payment methods are properly configured
* Unigox matches different payment methods if they have the same payment network - see [how it works](/how-it-works/how-offer-matching-works)

# Referral Program — earn up to 60% of trading fees

Unigox has one of the most generous referral programs in crypto. You earn a share of the platform's escrow fees on every trade made by the people you refer — and the people they refer.

Earn a share of the platform's escrow fee on every trade made by the people you refer — and by the people *they* refer. Commissions are credited as points and can be withdrawn as USDC.

### How the 2-Level Referral System Works

**Level 1 — Direct Referrals**\
You invite User B. Every time User B trades, you earn a commission on the escrow fee.

**Level 2 — Indirect Referrals (Sub-Affiliates)**\
User B invites User C. Every time User C trades, you *also* earn a smaller commission — without doing anything extra.

Your referral network earns for you on two layers. The more active your network, the more you earn.

### Referral Tiers

The more referrals you bring (or the more volume your network generates), the higher your commission rate. Tiers are recalculated daily based on the last 30 days.

| Tier | Requirement | Direct (Level 1) | Sub-Affiliate (Level 2) |
| ----------- | -------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | ----------------------- |
| **Starter** | Sign up and start referring | 30% | 5% |
| **Bronze** | 10 active referrals or $5K monthly volume | 40% | 7% |
| **Silver** | 50 active referrals or $25K monthly volume | 50% | 10% |
| **Gold** | 200 active referrals or $100K monthly volume | 60% | 15% |

You only need to meet **one** requirement to reach a tier — either the referral count or the volume threshold (whichever you reach first).

#### How commissions are calculated

Your commission is a percentage of the 0.5% escrow fee on each completed trade, credited as points (10,000 points = $1). During the current program phase, the total referral payout per trade is capped at $0.10. Current rates and your live earnings are always visible on your referral dashboard.

### Milestones

Your dashboard tracks milestones for you and your referrals — first trade, $500 / $5,000 / $50,000 in trading volume, becoming a vendor, and completing 100 trades. Completed milestones are crossed off automatically, and new milestones may be added over time.

### Your Referral Dashboard

Your dashboard gives you a full view of your earnings and network:

* **Balance** — total earned, available to withdraw, with day/week/month breakdown
* **Live Earnings** — real-time feed showing commissions as they come in
* **Current Tier** — your active tier, progress to the next one, and what you need to unlock it
* **Network Statistics** — active direct referrals, active Level 2 referrals, and 30-day network volume
* **Referrals Table** — each referral's status (active, inactive, new, reactivated), tier, trades, volume, and total earned
* **Top Earners** — leaderboard showing where you rank
* **Recent Activity** — filterable by All, Earnings, Referrals, or Milestones

You can withdraw your earned balance to your Unigox wallet in USDC (minimum $5).

### Quick Earning Guide

Four ways to grow your referral network:

1. **Share on Social Media** — Post your referral link on X, Instagram, and Facebook to reach a wider audience.
2. **Join Crypto Communities** — Share your link in relevant Telegram groups and Discord servers.
3. **Create Content** — Make a video or blog post about your experience and include your referral link.
4. **Personal Network** — Share with friends, family, and colleagues who might be interested in crypto trading.

Combine multiple methods for the best results. The more active you are in sharing, the faster you earn.

### Tier FAQ

**How often are tiers recalculated?**\
Automatically every day, based on the last 30 days.

**Can I drop to a lower tier?**\
Yes, if your active referrals or volume drops below the threshold.

**What counts as an "active referral"?**\
A referral who has made at least 1 trade in the last 30 days.

**Do I need BOTH referrals AND volume?**\
No. You only need to meet one requirement — whichever you reach first.

**What's the fastest way to reach Silver?**\
Invite 50 friends who trade at least once.

### How to Get Started

1. Create your Unigox account.
2. Get your referral link from the dashboard.
3. Share it with your community or contacts.
4. Earn on every successful trade your network makes — and withdraw your balance in USDC.

# Account security (2FA)

Protect your account and critical operations with an additional layer of security

Unigox supports two 2FA methods:

* **4-digit PIN code** — required before sending funds or releasing crypto from trades.
* **Google Authenticator** — adds a time-based one-time code for stronger security.

Set up 2FA under **Settings** in your Unigox wallet or web dashboard.

<figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2FznNr34pS9HU22Mwu5ZvJ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=17ec9643-4770-4f11-b7f6-e416cc69f475" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Set up your 2FA under settings</p></figcaption></figure>

# FAQ

**How do I get started?**

Create a wallet (or connect an existing one), complete KYC if trading over $100, add your payment method, and start trading. Unigox auto-matches your order with the best available rate.

**How does offer matching work?**

Unigox aggregates rates from P2P vendors, licensed exchanges, and payment providers. The matching engine selects the best available rate based on your amount, currency, and payment method. [Learn more →](https://guide.unigox.com/how-it-works/how-offer-matching-works)

**How is my fiat payment verified?**

Most orders are matched with integrated liquidity providers that detect and confirm your fiat payment automatically — crypto is released within minutes, no screenshots needed. For peer-to-peer trades, you upload proof of payment and the counterparty confirms receipt. Crypto stays locked in on-chain escrow until payment is confirmed either way. [Learn more →](https://guide.unigox.com/user-guides/zk-tls-supported-banks-and-wallets)

**What payment methods are supported?**

Bank transfers, mobile wallets, and more — depending on your country. Payment methods are matched by network (e.g., SEPA, PIX, NIBSS), so you don't need to find someone using the same bank.

**What are the fees?**

0.5% escrow fee per trade, paid by the crypto seller. Wallet usage, offer creation, and transfers between Unigox users are free. [Read more →](https://guide.unigox.com/user-guides/fees)

**Is my money safe?**

Crypto is held in an on-chain escrow smart contract until payment is confirmed — neither party can run away with it, and Unigox never takes custody of your wallet. Vendors and liquidity providers are KYC/KYB-verified and compliance-screened.

**What do the name badges mean when trading?**

* **No badge** — Name entered freely by the seller, not verified against ID
* **Green checkmark (✓)** — Legal name verified through KYC
* **Two names displayed** — Seller is KYC-verified but uses a different payment name

If two names appear: send funds to the payment name, and reference the KYC name for verification. KYC is optional for trades under $100, but verified names give you extra confidence.

**How do I become a vendor?**

Create an account, fill out the [vendor application form](https://forms.gle/6CkHvBzE6A6Dju7H7), complete KYC or KYB, and start creating offers. [Read more →](https://guide.unigox.com/user-guides/trade-as-vendor)

**How can my business integrate Unigox?**

Use a deep link, an embeddable iframe widget, or the server-to-server REST API — see the [Integration Guide](https://guide.unigox.com/integration-guide/introduction) and [developers.unigox.com](https://developers.unigox.com). Virtual and named fiat accounts (EUR IBAN, GBP, USD) are coming soon.

SDKs are available for JavaScript, Python, and C#.

# Platform Mechanics

Unigox automates crypto-fiat trades using four core systems:

**On-chain escrow**

Crypto is held in a smart contract on the Unigox appchain until fiat payment is confirmed. Both parties can verify escrow status at any time.

**Liquidity aggregation**

Every order is matched against multiple sources — P2P vendors, licensed exchanges, and directly integrated payment providers. You get the best available rate without browsing through offers.

**Non-custodial wallet with gasless transactions**

Users control their own keys. Create a wallet with email or connect an existing wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom). Send tokens like USDT or USDC on the Unigox appchain without needing a gas token.

**Automated matching engine**

Orders are matched instantly to the best available offer based on amount, currency, and payment network. No chats. No manual approvals. Transfer fiat to the provided bank details and the trade completes automatically.

# How Offer Matching Works

Unigox matches trades based on **payment network** compatibility — not just identical payment methods. This means more matches, faster trades, and simpler setup for vendors.

**How it works**

1. You select your fiat currency and bank or wallet.
2. You enter how much crypto to buy or sell.
3. The matching engine checks all active listings:
   * Does the vendor's payment method belong to the same payment network?
   * Is the vendor online and eligible?
   * Does the amount fit within their min/max range?
4. The best available match is selected.
5. Fiat payment is made and verified.
6. Crypto is automatically released from on-chain escrow.

**What are payment networks?**

A payment network is a group of compatible banks or wallets that can transfer funds to each other. Examples:

* **SEPA** — Europe's standardized Euro payment network
* **PIX** — Brazil's instant payment system
* **UPI** — India's real-time mobile transfer system
* **NIBSS** — Nigeria's interbank settlement system
* **Faster Payments** — Instant GBP payments in the UK
* **CBU / CVU** — Argentina's bank and virtual wallet transfer networks
* **MTN, Airtel, Vodafone, Telecel** — Mobile money operators in Ghana

Vendors select one payment method, and the engine matches them with any user whose method belongs to the same network.

#### 🌍 Example 1: Argentina — CBU Network Matching

| Role | Bank / Wallet | Transfer Type | Payment Network | Match? |
| ------ | ------------- | ------------- | --------------- | ------ |
| User | Banco Galicia | CBU | ✅ CBU | ✅ |
| Vendor | BBVA | CBU | ✅ CBU | ✅ |

Even though the bank names differ, both belong to the CBU network. Unigox matches them seamlessly.

No need for vendor to list 20+ Argentinian banks.

💡 For Argentina, even if you create an offer with CBU network payment details, you will be matched with somebody who has entered CVU network payment details.

#### 💳 Example 2: Europe — SEPA Network Matching

| Role | Payment Method | Payment Network | Match? |
| ------ | -------------- | --------------- | ------ |
| User | Deutsche Bank | SEPA | ✅ |
| Vendor | Revolut (EUR) | SEPA (enabled) | ✅ |

User chooses a German bank. Vendor has Revolut but supports SEPA transfers.

Our system matches based on SEPA, not brand. This allows smoother cross-platform matching.

#### 📱 Example 3: Ghana - multiple mobile wallets

| Role | Payment Method | Payment Network | Match? |
| ------ | -------------- | ---------------- | ------ |
| User | MoMo | MTN Mobile Money | ✅ |
| Vendor | Vodafone Cash | Vodafone | ✅ |

Even though Ghana has 4 major mobile networks like

* MTN Mobile (Money)
* Airtel (Money)
* Telecel (Cash)
* Vodafone (Cash)

Our system will be able to match you with anybody else in Ghana, even in a different mobile network.

💡 As a vendor, you can set extra fees when you are sending money to another mobile network because the mobile network charges you extra fees.

I.e, you are sending 200 GHS from your MoMo to Telecel Cash, you can set an extra fixed or percentage fee when your trade partner has other than MoMo payment network.

#### 🔐 Why It Works Better

| Feature | Other P2P Platforms | Unigox |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Payment matching | Exact method only | Network-based (SEPA, CBU, etc.) |

| Fiat payment verification | Manual screenshots / trust | ✅ Automatic with integrated providers, or vetted-vendor confirmation |
| Escrow | Often manual release | ✅ On-chain, auto-released |
| Vendor setup | Dozens of methods to list | ✅ One account per network |

# Gasless non-custodial wallet

Say goodbye to gas fees!

Ever wanted to send tokens or interact with a decentralized application (dApp) without worrying about having enough native currency (like ETH or SOL) for gas fees? With our wallet, you can! Perfect way to onboard your friends into crypto with a simple-to-use gasless transaction wallet like Unigox that makes the experience smoother and more accessible!

### Overview

#### Understanding Gasless Transactions with Unigox Wallet

Gasless transaction feature is exclusively available for operations on the Unigox appchain (currently XAI network).

* Unigox Wallet supports a wide range of other EVM-compatible chains and the Solana network for all your standard transaction needs (which will require the respective native currency for gas fees).
* You can easily bridge assets to Unigox's XAI network to take advantage of gasless transactions.
* Bridge out from XAI to other supported EVM or Solana chains at any time using the Unigox bridge solution.

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="https://3732757777-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FR5WxtczoTRZuTKmBWr2I%2Fuploads%2Fx7xrIVsLIEGmQL6r9udv%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3e3eaf0f-2227-4b17-8cf0-8556185d93b6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

When you want to send tokens using our wallet:

**You choose your action:**

* You select the token you want to send.
* You enter the recipient's address.
* You specify the amount.

**Unigox app prepares the "Instruction Slip":**

* Our application (the frontend you're using) gathers all these details.

**You authorize the Action (The "Magic" Signature):**

* Unigox wallet will ask you to sign a message. This message lays out what you intend to do (send X tokens to Y address).
* **Important!** You are signing a piece of data, not initiating a blockchain transaction directly. Therefore, **you don't pay any gas fees at this step.** Your signature is your secure "OK" for the action.
* This uses a standard called `EIP-712`, which makes signed messages human-readable and secure.

**Unigox sends your authorized instruction to our Relayer:**

* Once you've signed, your Unigox wallet sends your instruction (the `ForwardRequest`) and your digital signature to our secure Relayer.

**Our Relayer does the "heavy lifting":**

* The Relayer receives your authorized instruction.
* It validates everything (is the signature correct? is the instruction valid?).
* One of our "Relayer" accounts (which does have XAI for gas) then creates an actual blockchain transaction.
* This transaction tells the forwarder contract on the blockchain: "Here's an instruction from User A, along with their signature. Please execute it."
* **Our Relayer pays the gas fee for this blockchain transaction.**

**The blockchain confirms the Action:**

* The Forwarder Contract receives the instruction from our Relayer.
* It verifies your signature again (is it really from you?).
* It checks the nonce (has this instruction been used before?).
* If everything is valid, the forwarder contract then "impersonates" you (in a secure, pre-approved way) and tells the token contract (e.g., USDC.u) to perform the transfer you originally requested.
* The token contract is special because it's designed to understand that even though the forwarder contract is calling it, the true originator of the action is you (thanks to EIP-2771 context).

**Success!**

* Your tokens are sent.
* Unigox will show you the transaction hash and confirmation.
* You successfully made a blockchain transaction without directly paying gas!

### **Why Is This Cool?**

* **User-Friendly:** No need to worry about having XAI just to pay for gas.
* **Simplified Onboarding:** New users can start interacting with Web3 without the immediate hurdle of acquiring gas tokens.
* **Smoother Experience:** Transactions feel more like traditional web app interactions.

### Technical Implementation

* **`EIP-2771` (Meta-Transactions):** This is the Ethereum Improvement Proposal that standardizes how these gasless (or "meta") transactions work. The core idea is to decouple the sender of a transaction (the Relayer) from the originator of the action (you, the user).
* **Forwarder Contract (`SyntheticAssetForwarder`):** This is a trusted smart contract (an OpenZeppelin `ERC2771Forwarder` implementation) that acts as the entry point for the meta-transactions.
  * It's responsible for verifying your signature and nonce.
  * It then relays your intended call (e.g., `token.transfer()`) to the target contract.
  * It manages nonces for each user to prevent replay attacks (submitting the same signed message multiple times).
* **We use `EIP-712` for signing.** This standard provides a way to sign structured data, making it more secure and user-friendly, as Unigox wallet can display what you, as a user, are signing in a readable format.

### **Security Considerations:**

* **You only sign what you intend to do:** The `EIP-712` signature is for a very specific action (e.g., "send 10 USDC to address 0xabc..."). You are not giving broad permissions.
* **Nonce System:** Prevents malicious actors from replaying your old signed messages.
* **Trusted Forwarder:** The forwarder contract is a critical piece of infrastructure. Ours is based on well-audited OpenZeppelin contracts.
* **Your Private Keys Remain Secure:** Your private keys never leave your control. Unigox embedded wallets are powered by Privy: keys are generated and used inside secure hardware environments and protected with distributed key sharding, so no single party — including Unigox — ever holds your full key. Prefer full self-custody? Connect your own external wallet instead.

# Bridging to Unigox appchain

Unigox uses own appchain (currently XAI blockchain) for multiple reasons.

1. Users can transact with each other [without requiring a separate gas token](/how-it-works/gasless-non-custodial-wallet) like ETH, SOL or XAI.
2. Users can transact with each other on super cheap and blazing fast Unigox appchain
3. Escrow contract is EVM-based Gnosis Safe battle-tested contract
4. Adding support for more blockchains does not require us to implement new escrow contracts for every new blockchain
5. Cost to release or cancel escrow by user or Unigox system is extremely cheap fee wise due to usage of own app-chain
6. Freedom and ease of use to support bridging from any blockchain
7. Not affected by governance or downtimes of any specific blockchain if we were to choose 1 specific blockchain as the main chain for contracts
8. In the future, develop a whole ecosystem of decentralized apps on Unigox appchain&#x20;

## How to Bridge

### Buying cryptocurrency

If you buy cryptocurrency on Unigox, your cryptocurrency is sent to your Unigox appchain address upon escrow release.

You can continue using Unigox wallet within appchain and send money to other users instantly and without gas token requirement. Alternatively, you can bridge out cryptocurrency to any other of the [supported chains](/how-it-works/supported-assets-and-blockchains#blockchains) in EVM network and Solana.

### Selling cryptocurrency

When you sell cryptocurrency, you deposit cryptocurrency directly to Unigox's proxy contract on the same blockchain where your funds are. Unigox automatically bridges funds to Unigox appchain. There is nothing else required from your side.

### Using Unigox

You are free to bridge out cryptocurrency to any of our [supported chains](/how-it-works/supported-assets-and-blockchains#blockchains).

You can send and receive cryptocurrency on Unigox appchain at near-zero cost and almost instantly without paying any gas fees.&#x20;

# Smart Contracts

Unigox handles cross-chain deposits using intent-based and solver architecture. On-chain p2p escrow trading contracts are creating on Unigox's appchain

Upon registration each user receives 2 addresses.

1. First address is their Unigox non-custodial wallet address on the Unigox appchain (currently XAI EVM L2), secured by Privy's embedded wallet infrastructure
2. Second address is the address for cross-chain deposits from other blockchains
